Jail Health Care Provider Contracting
Correctional Health Partners doesn’t just pay correctional healthcare claims, we approach offender healthcare from a clinical point of view to ensure that we provide high quality and efficient care. One technique to accomplish this is by developing provider networks to create a comprehensive, cost-effective medical delivery system for offenders. These provider networks are comprised of five elements:
- Primary care providers (PCP) at the correctional institutions
- Participating specialist providers in the community that deliver quality care
- Specialty and institutional care
- Ancillary service providers
- Hospitals
When specialized care is required, the PCP refers the offender to Correctional Health Partners who then arrange for appropriate levels of care with qualified specialty care providers belonging to the network of trusted professionals who share our values and commitment to effective healthcare for offenders. Correctional Health Partners utilizes the knowledge of the offender by the PCP combined with the application of evidence-based treatment guidelines to determine optimal levels of care.
