Multnomah County Health Department
The Multnomah County Health Department Corrections Health Program awarded a 5-year contract to Correctional Health Partners (CHP) starting April 1, 2011 to perform third party administrator (TPA) functions. As the TPA, Correctional Health Partners will establish the external healthcare delivery network for Multnomah County Jail inmates, provide claims processing services and provide clinical services which will facilitate effective communication and more efficient care transitions between providers and Multnomah County Corrections Health.
Correctional Health Partners has contracted with First Choice Health Network (FCHN) to be its preferred provider network (PPO). FCHN will coordinate with CHP staff to resolve any outstanding issues that providers may have. CHP is responsible for all claims payment and authorizations for care. Together, FCHN and CHP are committed to making this a collaborative relationship with Multnomah County Corrections Health and the external provider network.
